Biography
Zack Johnson brings over 20 years of legal expertise to Thomason, Swanson & Zahn, serving clients with a commitment to justice and a deep understanding of the law. Licensed in both Minnesota and New York, Zack has cultivated a diverse and robust practice that spans criminal defense, civil rights, family law, real estate litigation, and probate disputes.
The legendary Manhattan District Attorney Robert M. Morgenthau hired Zack in 2002 to work at the New York County District Attorney's Office, where he honed his skills in prosecuting criminal cases and developed a strong foundation in the complexities of criminal law. Following his tenure in public service, he joined the prestigious firm of Shearman and Sterling LLP, representing corporate clients in high-stakes investigations and legal matters. This experience provided him with unique insights into the intersection of corporate law and individual rights.
In 2009, Zack co-founded Galluzzo and Johnson LLP (now the Law Office of Matthew Galluzzo), where he focused on a private practice encompassing both criminal and civil rights law. This role allowed him to advocate passionately for individuals facing legal challenges, further deepening his dedication to client-centered representation.
For the past seven years, Zack has been practicing in Minnesota's beautiful northern lakes country and has focused his practice on family law, real estate, business and probate litigation, and appeals. His comprehensive understanding of the legal system, coupled with his experience in obtaining favorable outcomes for his clients, makes him a trusted advisor in difficult legal matters, including Orders for Protection (OFP) and Harassment Restraining Orders (HRO).
Zack's approach to law is characterized by his unwavering commitment to his clients, his meticulous attention to detail, and his strategic thinking. He is dedicated to providing compassionate support and effective legal solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
Outside of the office, Zack is an active member of the Park Rapids community. He has served as the president and membership chair of the Park Rapids Rotary club and serves on the board of the Northern Light Opera Company and the Huntersville Sportsmen's Club. He is an active member of his church where he rotates in on piano duty and teaches Sunday school, and also hosts a local podcast, Northwestern Voices. He is proud to serve the Park Rapids area and is committed to making a positive impact through his work.
Whether you are facing a family law dispute, a real estate issue, or require assistance with a complex litigation matter, Zack Johnson is here to help you navigate your legal challenges with expertise and integrity.
